Among others, he designed and built the following buildings in St. Petersburg: Mikhailovsky Theatre (now Maliy Theater, 1831–1833), Pulkovo Observatory (1834–1839), the Headquarters of Guard Corps on Palace Square (1837–1843). In 1832 Brullov drafted Lutheran Church of St. Peter and St. Paul on the Nevsky Prospekt in the English Gothic style.

He was an architecture academician and a first Vice-President of the Imperial Academy of Arts, he was born on 1st of March 1737 in Maloyaroslavskiy district (Kaluga province), he died on the 2nd of August 1799 in St. Petersburg.

A favourite sculptor of Nicholas I of Russia. Klodt's most famous group of horse sculptures, the Horse Tamers, was installed at the Anichkov Bridge in 1851. He was also responsible for the bronze statue of Ivan Krylov in the Summer Garden (1848-55). It was the first monument to a poet erected in the Russian Empire.

Giovanni Maria Fontana was an Italian-Swiss architect, born in Lugano, who worked in Russia, on the invitation of Peter the Great. Among his most prominent commissions were those from Aleksandr Danilovich Menshikov, to build his various palaces, including the Oranienbaum, often working in tandem with Johann Gottfried Schädel.

Felten Yury Matveyevich was a court architect to Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia.

Kazakov was one of the most influential Muscovite architects during the reign of Catherine II, completing numerous private residences, two royal palaces, two hospitals,Moscow University, and the Kremlin Senate. In 1816, Alexander I assigned Betancourt to find the architect who could rebuild the cathedral; Betancourt pointed at Montferrand. Four original concepts, using as much of the old structure as possible, failed; the fifth was approved in February 1818.

Andreas Schluter a German sculptor and architect associated with the Petrine Baroque style of architecture and decoration.

A Russian architect. In the late 1830s, Stakenschneider emerged as the chief court architect of Nicholas I of Russia. For this monarch and his children he designed the Mariinsky Palace, Nicholas Palace, New Michael Palace, as well as the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace for Princess Kochubey. In Peterhof he was responsible for the Farm Palace, the Belvedere Palace, and numerous garden pavilions.

Was an official architect ofImperial Russia during the reign of Nicholas I. His major works include the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Grand Kremlin Palace and the Kremlin Armoury in Moscow.
